You must present the following documents when applying to renew your permission:
If the local registration office is not satisfied that you meet the criteria for renewal of the permission, you may send an application form to Immigration Service Delivery Unit 4 for your case to be considered.
The parent of Irish citizen child application form is available for downloading. You must complete and submit the application form by post, with all the required documentation, to the following address:

Incomplete application forms will not be processed and will be returned.
What happens if my application is approved?
If you are successful, you will be granted a stamp 4 permission. Your permission will be for a duration of between 6 months and 3 years, depending on the circumstances of your individual case. You must make an appointment with your local immigration office in order to register that permission. You may have to pay a registration fee.
What happens if my application is refused?
We will advise you of the decision to refuse your permission in writing and the reasons for the refusal. You can re-apply for Irish Born Child permission at any time. You should pay careful attention to the reasons why your previous application was refused. If you do not have another immigration permission, we may issue you with notification of an intention to deport you under Section 3 of the Immigration Act 1999.
